Quick Answer
How to use the Backrooms: Escape Together entity list
Use the entity list by matching the threat you saw with its official location, behavior type, and the one rule that matters most. Bacteria is a long-range pursuit threat in Level 0. Smiler only manifests during blackout events and punishes proximity. Skin-Stealer is repelled by light until blackouts make it aggressive. Scratcher hunts through sound in Level 2 and becomes unavoidable in Level !. Collector turns Level 6 scans into a visibility tradeoff.

Recognize the monster first, then open the right guide
The official database gives short briefings. This hub keeps those facts visible, then adds clearer player-facing routing so you can move into the next page without guessing.

Repelled by light under normal conditions, but aggressive, faster than the player, and fully capable of seeing in the dark during blackout events.

A tall humanoid threat in The Lobby with exceptional long-range vision and acute hearing. It detects walking, running, jumping, and whistling, so sound discipline and sharp turns matter more than panic sprinting.

A blackout-only threat that does not chase, respond to sound, or care about outrunning. Proximity alone causes a jumpscare, stun, and sanity drain, so distance is the only real defense.

An aggressive Level -1 entity that can spawn in hallways, rooms, and closets without warning. Because it approaches rapidly and kills on sight, Grayscale Halls becomes even less forgiving once it appears.

A lethal entity with two variants. In Level 2 it is blind and hunts entirely by sound. In Level ! it becomes an unavoidable chase threat whose speed shifts with your distance.

A sound-and-sight-based Level 3 entity that reacts to nearly all noise, behaves deceptively around doors, remembers escape routes, and actively finds alternate paths.

A stalking Level 6 entity that is drawn to full-power lidar use. Once revealed, it cannot be outrun, and contact resets the scanned environment so the player is stranded in darkness again.

A sight-based Level Fun entity that patrols during light phases and actively hunts during blackout events. The bright play-space hides one of the route's sharpest threat spikes.
